Back From The Break

As you guys might know, a few days after patch 2.3 came out I decided to take a break from Worldof Warcraft. When patch 2.3.2 came out recently, I finally was able to get back to playing. Coming back was a blast! Being able to talk to my online friends and play with again was something I missed all the time I was out. The day I came back was also the guild’s first raid of the year with almost everyone back from the holidays. Of course I sat out since I was late and I was still brushing off the rust from being out so long.

Being out for so long really brings a funny feeling when you get back. For the first few minutes, it feels like you’re learning a new game since you’re trying to figure out where your buttons are and also trying to get used to the feel of the game. For the first few minutes, things felt so new that I even forgot I had a mount so I walking to places around the city.

Here are a few things I found interesting since coming back. They are either new things or if they are not so new, I probably didn’t notice them before since I only experienced patch 2.3 for a few days before taking a break.

  • I like how quest items like the monstrous kaliri eggs sparkle now. It makes looking for things much easier on the eye. Having a degenerate eye condition, this change makes things much easier for me.
  • I find it a bit cute that wanted posters also have the “!” that quest givers have. Not only is it cute but it also keeps it from being overlooked.
  • I like how the in game mail system has more than more slot for item sending now. Having to send items one at a time was quite a tedious job
