Changes To Brewfest This Year
As early as now, preparations for this years Brewfest come September/October have been made to make the event more fun for us players. Blizzard poster Kisirani from the PTR forum brings us the news about what to expect come Brewfest time.
Hello everyone!
We’ve made some changes to Brewfest this year, and we’re testing it out on the PTR. We have a few things in particular we’d like you to test when the holiday is active:
The Dark Iron Attack is back this year, every half-hour at the main Brewfest camps outside of Orgrimmar and Ironforge. Please test out the attack and give us your feedback on how it plays out.
There is a new boss in Blackrock Depths to test — Coren Direbrew, who is located in the Grim Guzzler. The mole machine directly to the right as you zone in should transport you to the Grim Guzzler. No need to clear all the way up there. ;)
Thank you all for your participation and valuable feedback — we really appreciate it! source
Adding bosses that level 70’s can kill for loot is definitely something really exciting if it’s added to a holiday. The additions of the Headless Horseman and Ahune to Hallow’s Eve and Midsummer Festival Holiday events, respectively, has shown good reactions from the players. Another thing that’s interesting about this boss is that it brings people back to Blackrock Depths, one of the more famous pre-TBC dungeons back in the day. I’m sure some people would love to go back there to experience the place without all the bad things that come with the place like being such a huge dungeon that you could easily get lost in. It was a cool dungeon if you take away those bad things associated with it.

It’s great that this is encourages people to head to BRD….a certain someone has been trying to black mail me into going to BRD to farm 60ish level blacksmithing ingredients.
