Checking Out The Isle of Quel’danas

Since I spent most of the time I could have used for playing downloading the latest patch and dealing with the carnage my add-ons experienced, I didn’t have much time really checking the new stuff out.

I did, however, check out the Isle of Quel’danas earlier to see what that new zone is like. As expected the whole zone was lagging so bad. This is quite normal when new content comes out because everyone wants to check it out. I didn’t experience it first hand but I heard from my guild mates who got TBC early that Hellfire Peninsula’s lag was really bad the week TBC came out.

I also never had a chance to check out the Magister’s Terrace yet (I’ll do that next time I’m on) but I did check out some of the first quests. I love that the two daily quests I did earlier (the one with the erratic sentries and the the one to kill those wretched to get the items to power a warp crystal) are easy enough to do. I haven’t been able to gain access to the ogri’la dailies yet so I have to resort to the skettis dailies. I hate those quests and I usually end up dying a lot so a good part of the gold I get ends up in repairs.

I also like the feel of the whole zone since I’ve always liked the architecture of the blood elves. Must be because my pally and warlock alts are both blood elves.

Today was confusing since I’d see so many “LFG MT” or “LF Healer MT” (even within the guild) and I wonder to myself why so many people want to do Mana Tombs all of a sudden.

It also feels funny seeing the same questions being asked over and over again. I asked the same questions when I first got there so I’m not excused. Questions like “is there an inn here?” or “where can I repair here?” have comes up so many times!

It’s quite amusing to see even the best geared players act like a “newbie” for at least this one time!

How has your first experience in the Isle of Quel’danas been for you?

lol totally agree with the comment “It’s quite amusing to see even the best geared players act like a “newbie” for at least this one time!” . it has been a great experience made me feel like a newbie discovering this game all over, it makes me even more anxious for the new expation, i was getting really bored with the TBC already..
