Chinese Guild Downs Illidan 52 Days After TBC Release

Lately I’ve been getting excited that my small guild will finally get some action in Karazhan very soon after a long time waiting for the others to hit 70 and get keyed and geared well enough to raid the place. But after reading the following piece of news, I felt a bit sorry for the state of my guild’s state of progress. But after a while I felt a bit better knowing that we have a life and we’re having a lot of fun playing the game at our pace.

Worldofraids.com reports that that a Chinese guild called “The Seven” managed to pull off China’s first confirmed Illidan kill. Grats to them right? I’d like to say yes, but I’m really more inclined to feel sorry for them for not having a life. The reason is they did this in 52 days… starting from level 60! Yes, the Burning Crusade expansion was released in China on September 6, 2007. Considering Illidan is the last boss in the hardest dungeon in the game as of the moment, they had to get to 70 and get geared well enough for the encounter by going through the process of clearing Karazhan, Gruul’s lair, Mag’s Lair, TK, and SSC. Personally I don’t know how it’s even possible to do that in 52 days. The only way I know is to play themselves to death.

I have two words for “The Seven”: You Lose!

Seriously guys, get a life!

Wow, that is insane. I think “The Seven” must be the number of days a week they must raid. It is very impressive though with most of the raid still in some tier 3 naxx and they even have a Draenei which means 0-70 and kill Illidan in 52 days. This is truly a skill > gear story!
