Cool Looking WoTLK Beta Mounts!
The avid mount collector would definitely be very pleased to know that there are several new cool looking mounts (both ground and flying ones) that are currently available in in the WoTLK beta. MMO Champion brings us screen shots of of some of the interesting new mounts we can expect to see come expansion time.
Magnificent Flying Carpet image
Just like engineers can make themselves a gyrocopter, tailors can make themselves a flying carpet. I saw a screen shot of a player flying around on one of these carpets the other day and I was quite surprised to see that the player actually stands up on the carpet instead of sitting down since it definitely looks strange.
Black Warp Stalker image
A warp stalker mount! First they become hunter pets and now they are mounts. I seriously doubt they’ll be able to blink but that would be so cool!
The Hog image
Just yesterday a guild mate of mine was telling me that he wishes engineers could make motorcycles. Looks like he got his wish! When I first saw this my eyes lit up!
Polar Bear image
Well druids will get polar bear form from inscription and there is a bear mount already in the game. Since the expansion is all about Northrend, then why not a polar bear mount? It makes sense and looks cool too.
Frostwyrm image
Move over netherdrake. I’m sure the frostwyrm will be one of the most popular mounts if not the most popular one in the whole game when WoTLK comes out. It looks bad ass and sorta looks like you’re riding a smaller Nightbane with frost instead of fire.

Dont forget the skeletal gryphon. I read that it is going to be the flying mount for death knights.

WoW! Quite literally, those new mounts do look very cool indeed - I’ve only just got my basic flying mount after hitting 70 after a year of playing!
Looks like I may just skip saving for the faster flying mount and get one of these new ones!

Same here. I was looking forward to getting a netherdrake when I can finally afford it in the expansion but it seems like I might get the frostwyrm instead if it’s not too hard to get.
