Herbalists Get A HoT!
The Wrath of the Lich King beta build 8770 comes with a pretty strange but cool and interesting new ability. World of Raids reports that players with the Herbalism profession will have access to a spell called Wild Growth. It’s a heal over time spell (HoT) that heals the player for 2000 health over 15 seconds and has a 5 minute cool down. An image of the Wild Growth tooltip can be found here via World of Raids.
This certainly isn’t very earth shattering or game breaking but it’s a decent and cool thing to have. Just like the Draenei racial Gift of the Naaru, it really isn’t a huge thing. The interesting thing about this spell is the fact that you gain access to this spell not because you’re a certain class or race but because of a profession. What I’m wondering is if this will start a trend and we’ll see even more profession related spells similar to Wild Growth as the beta testing comes along. Maybe miners could have a spell that decreases physical damage done to the player or something.
This addition may be kind of strange but at least it’s also pretty cool.
