Login Screen For WoTLK?
A post in the official forums made me realize that we’ve seen pretty much the same portal at the login screens of both the original WoW game and the Burning Crusade expansion. With the focus turning away from the Dark Portal and into Northrend and Arthas the Lich king in the next expansion, the original poster Souldemise from the Eredar realm asks about what the WoTLK login screen will be? The guy has a point since there really doesn’t seem to be a reason to have a portal related to the next expansion yet the portal seems to be the theme Blizzard has liked using.
I understand that using a portal makes sense since the login screen is like a portal into the game. but what if we used a gate instead? It would achieve the same purpose. My suggestion is why not use the gates of the Icecrown Citadel? Someone in the thread suggested the place but I take it a step further and use the gates. It would be a nice change from the usual, achieves the same purpose and it’s fitting since the Icecrown Citadel is where Arthas resides.
What do you think? Do you have other ideas?

I like your idea and I am sure they will change it to something, hopefully without a portal. :) I will let you know when I get into the beta, haha.
