M’uru, How I Miss You So!

I was reading this piece in wowinsider about Kael’thas being in the game in two places at the same time. As you know, Kael’thas is a raid boss in The Eye of the Tempest Keep and also the last boss in the 5 man dungeon Magister’s Terrace. Basically the article says that it makes sense that two forms of Kael’thas are in the game at the same time because the latter is a progression in the story with the Magister’s Terrace Kael’thas got there after his fall in the Tempest Keep. The story progresses as your character progresses.
But as you know, we also see a progression in the stories of Rexxar and Hemet Nesignwary when the Burning Crusade expansion came out. Rexxar fled to the Outlands to go back to his roots and the orc champion Rokaro replaced him for the Onyxia key quest chain. Nesingwary also fled to the Outlands to check out the bigger game for his hunt while his son replaced him in STV. So for these two guys, even if they went somewhere else there was a replacement to fulfil their purpose. Even as Thrall journeys to the Outlands to visit his long lost people the Mag’har, the Warchief still remains in Orgrimmar for those who need him there. It’s consistent with being in two places at the same time because it’s at two different moments in the story.
This brings us to the case of the Naaru M’uru who used to be held captive by the blood elves in Silvermoon City as their source of power. With the release of patch 2.4, all we see in that chamber are a bunch of dazed blood elves and no Naaru since Kael’thas attacked and kidnapped M’uru. He’s now a boss in the 25 man instance Sunwell Plateau wherein he turns into the dark naaru Entropius as part of his sacrifice to redeem all from the clutches of the Burning Legion. With this progression in the story, M’uru is gone and no one will ever see him again unless you raid the Sunwell Plateau. How I miss M’uru floating in his chamber in Silvermoon. For those people who are new to the game especially new blood elves, it’s probably going to seem weird that they’re in medias res (in the middle of things) as far as the story of M’uru is concerned while normal for the rest of the story.
