Naming Your Alts
Once again I’ve been getting the urge to make another alt. If I do decide to go through with it, I’m going to have to decide which class I’m going to be and then find a nice name for it. This brings me to the topic for this post. How do you decide on what to name your alts? Do you follow some kind of theme?
My guild mate Dayspring, a tauren shaman, has several alts whose names follow a nice pattern that lets everyone know that it’s him. His priest is Healspring and his mage is Nightspring. Our dear guild master has some alts whose names follow the Thundercats theme like Tigara, Pumyra, and Cheatara. I myself have a naming pattern I follow that sprung from my main’s name Khablooey. I’ve been known as Khab ever since so my alts all have Khab in them. Another friend of mine has been known as Jack from his main’s name Jacktwist so he eventually renamed his alt to accommodate having a Jack in the name.

I never really followed any naming convention but since everyone calls me Mel coming from my old main Meldras I have been considering renaming any toons I play to have a Mel in them. lol

This reminds me of two Pallies I know in the server named Ibubble and Ibubbletoo. They don’t really know the other exists!

lol i’m known as Drae on my server because of my name “Draenarii” and nearly all my alts end in “arii” or “ii” although i feel that following name paterns can get repetitive and hard, especially if you choose a name which is very racially suited. Can’t call a dwarf warrior “Drarrior” because it looks weird.

Yeah i’m really thankful I have a naming pattern that could fit for pretty much any race and class. Like I’m planning to integrate the pattern into a hunter alt I possibly might make. Khab +huntard = Khabtard lol
