New Alchemist’s Stone Upgrades in Patch 2.4
Patch 2.4 is adding new content with the 5 man dungeon Magister’s Terrace and the 25 man raid Sunwell Plateau wherein players get to fight Kil’jaeden and see gear at par with and even better than what you see in Black Temple. Because of this, Blizzard has been releasing info not only about the gear we will able to use in these new places but also new badge of justice gear and new additions to professions.
Not long ago, information about the new “tier” of engineering goggles was released. This new “tier” obviously is improved from the first ones but also more intensive in materials and also needs the first “tier” goggles. Simply, with a few more mats you can upgrade your goggles! (if you can consider 4 primal nethers for 1 part of the mats needed as few)
In the same line, alchemy will also have a similar type of upgrade process. For those who already have their Alchemist’s Stone, alchemists will be able to upgrade it to something with more specialized abilities. instead of having the +15 to agility, strength, intellect, spirit and stamina the upgrade has more specialized stats like +54 to critical strike rating or +54 to defense, or +54 spell hit or +119 to healing/+54 damage done by spells and effects.
My impression of the first Alchemist’s Stone was that only healers would really benefit from having it. These upgrade stones are awesome and I’m sure people who do PvE would love to have these stones since there’s a stone for all classes now.
