No Room For Any More Friends
I’m sure I’m not the only person playing WoW who likes having a lot of friends in his/her friends list. After all, WoW is an MMORPG and that means that it has a strong social aspect to the gaming experience.
Mu current situation is that while I’m in a guild with a lot of my friends in the game, there’s still a huge number of friends out there who aren’t. I had a lot of friends to begin with before my former guild the Thundercats met its ill fate and after it did, I found myself adding a whole lot more people to my friends list. People who used to be my guild mates now were not. Having friends with several active alts doesn’t help my friends list either.
So try to imagine the horror of being in my situation and seeing the error message in the image above. I can deal with being “OOM”, just take a mana potion. I can deal with being “out of range” or “out of line of sight” or not being able to do “that” yet. I mean it’s just a game and if I die as a result of those error messages then good luck next time. But “You don’t have room for any more friends” is an error message I really can’t do anything about. True, I can delete some of them but I really don’t want to since I consider people in my friends list people I want to keep in contact with.
I know that Blizzard has increased the friends list before. i still remember when I could only have 20 friends in the list and i was really sad about that. I’m really hoping that they could raise the limit again to a much higher number so player like me can be happy with more and more friends in the list. The more the merrier!

I don’t think I’ll ever reach this point - I have maybe 5 separate people on my list - that are not in my guild.
I think WoW is great, but I’m just not sure - in some respects it doesn’t quite seem as social a game as some earlier MMORPGs - or maybe it’s just because I don’t have the same group of friends playing as I did back then?

WoW definitely has a good social component. I’ve been playing since ‘05 and I’ve met a lot of people in the game over the years. Some of them I’ve lost contact with but a good number of them I still talk to up to now.
