Pwned By Daylight Saving Time!
One of the things I have to deal with as a Filipino WoW player playing in a US server is the difference in time zones. Having to explain to everyone that it’s lunch time for me when it’s midnight for them is just one of the things I constantly have to deal with. Having to constantly convert your local time into the right server time is another thing that sucks. While there are Oceanic servers, I don’t use them since it’s actually personally more convenient for me to be in a US server.
I’ve dealt with the whole time zone problem and it really isn’t an issue… until I get pwned by Daylight Saving! As fast as the tides switch, BAM! it hits you from nowhere. Since I’m from the Philippines, I’m not used to this whole time changing practice. We don’t practice it at all and I don’t think we need to with us being close to the equator anyway.
I never really realized that Daylight Saving Time has come into effect since the past few days I’ve been leveling my paladin. It’s only yesterday when I showed up for the Karazhan raid 45 minutes late instead of what I thought was 15 minutes early that I realized Daylight Saving Time has pwned me once again! It only happens once a year but it never fails.
As the image above shows, I learned my lesson. I showed up today about 15 minutes early! I really need to remind myself to check out when exactly these changes occur so I don’t need fall into the same trap again.

I haven’t, but for people like me who play late and generally see the dailies roll over, they’re a little glitchy right now! They act like they’re supposed to roll over at 3, and the Ethereals’ holograms change. But you can’t pick up any dailies you already did for that day, and if you mouse over the quest log where it’s supposed to tell you how long until the next day it says “The new day begins in .”
At 4 everything is working properly again.

I actually heard about this problem while doing AV a few days ago. Some guys were talking about how the dailies were still on daylight savings time.
I guess in a way you’ve been pwned since that’s one hour you could have been doing the dailies but couldn’t.
