Rants About AV’s No “Join As Group” Option
It’s the Alterac Valley holiday weekend again now so that’s what preoccupied a lot of my guild’s playing activity. Like most guilds, we like to do things together so the officers called out for more people who would want to join in the guild fun. Despite a lot of losses, we still had fun fighting together, knowing that out of the many strangers from other realms joining you in battle there are a bunch of people who you could count on to have your back.
Preparing for each game was a bit of a chore most of the time though since AV doesn’t have a “join as group” option like the other battlegrounds have. It’s something we all found kinda stupid. Our preparations went something like this.
Group leader: Ok we’re all ready. Queue in 1…2…3 Go!
Group leader: I got AV 2
Member X: I got 2 too!
Member Y: 55 =(
Member Z: 20 lol
Group leader: Ok let’s queue again in 1…2…3
Group leader: 33
Member X: 33
Member Y: 33
Member Z: 4
Group leader: Argh!
We got it right after a few more tries and luckily we didn’t have that many problems afterwards but this type of situation can still be quite annoying. On the other hand, seeing a 40 man premade for AV is probably why it doesn’t have a “join as group” option. Scary as premades might be, I still feel that it’s still not a good enough reason for it not to have the “join as group” option while the other BG’s do. Afterall, if it’s something we accept and deal with in the other battlegrounds why should AV be any different?

Wow! On my server there really isn’t a good way to get a AV group going since the wait time is anywhere from 40 minutes (on a good day) to 2+ hours.
I would like to see the “join as group” button come back to AV.
