Spirit of Olympics Felt In WoW
The spirit of the 2008 Beijing Olympics has been making itself felt the past few days in anticipation for the big event. Even in World of Warcraft, the Olympics has left its mark.
Starting today August 8, 2008 and until the 25th all players will be able to get cool symbols of the spirit of competition between the Alliance and Horde in the battlegrounds. You can get a cool Olympic tabard and a non combat pet.
To get the tabard, you just need to enter any battleground and stay until it end. Even if you lose the battle, you’ll still get the tabard mailed to you after. (I picked AV and lost and still got mine)
According to MMO Champion, to get the pet you need to win a BG. Every victory gives you a chance to have the pet mailed to you. See a picture of the pet here.

“Spirit of Competition” ??
Is THAT what you call it? “Seething rancor” sounds more accurate to me.
